Restlessness

When I first started to freelance I wanted a name that would be more memorable than my given name. I came up with "Restless Graphics" to promote myself as both an animator (the "restless" part) and a graphic designer. I put together a logo in which the word "restless" was made in a playful, cartoony style and the word "graphics" was more slick and serious. This was what I used on my first web site.

After a while I realized that, while I may want to promote myself as a graphic designer, my portfolio contained no graphic design at all apart from the logo. All my attempts to put together a portfolio of graphic design somehow ended up with illustration and animation instead. So I changed "Restless Graphics" to "Restless Pixels".

Which is why I decided to call this blog "Restless Jottings".

Fortunately there happened to be a template on blogger.com that almost exactly duplicates the "dancing squares" motif I use on my web site. Funny.
